St. Thomas is part of the United States. So you do not need a passport to travel the U.S. Virgin Islands. We stayed at a nice resort, Point Pleasant Resort. It was nice, but it would not be my first choice. I like hotels more than resorts. The front desk is not outside your room door. They had carts to assist you in traveling throughout the large resort. The resort also has a small beach area. This made you feel as if you were on a private island with your partner. They also had a pool and a restaurant on site. I enjoyed the fish tacos.
All the beaches on St. Thomas were public. Everyone is welcome to visit any beach. Please see my pictures below. Also, there is a ferry that can take you to the other islands. It was not a long ride to go to another island and explore. We had a beach day on another island and went to lunch there as well.
