There are plenty aspects in a person’s life that can cause stress. Relationships with other people, children, work, types of food we eat, and more. Many people do not even know they are stressed until something significant happens.

I will tell you my experience. The other day I was at home and felt so tired that I needed to take a nap.   I took an hour nap before I had to pick my daughter up from school. When I woke up from the nap, I had a blurry spot on the side of my left eye. I put some drops in my eye because I thought it could be dry eye. The spot remained for about two hours. I took a visit to urgent care. The doctor said that I could be going blind and I should see a specialist as soon as possible (then next day).   The next day, I went to an eye specialist. The doctor informed me that I was not going blind. My eyes are healthy. (Thank the lord!) I was having a migraine in my eye. He said that I should reduce my stress, get some rest, and stay hydrated.

As a person that loves to take care of others, I need to take care of myself first. If you are sick, you will not have the ability to take care of another person. As a parent or partner, we try to do everything by going above and beyond.
