I have traveled a lot in the past couple of months to Florida. This post will tell you about our family trip to Tampa, FL to see my twin sister.
Of course, the family (Husband, daughter, and me), drove to Tampa, FL. The drive was about 7 1/2 hours.
Hotel
Westshore Grande
Every time that I visit Florida, we stay at the Westshore Grande. It is a lovely hotel. The beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel has a steakhouse at the bottom. My daughter loves the elevators. They have an outside pool. We usually do not go to the pools at the hotels in Florida. We make time for the beach. There is a mall right across the street from this hotel. It has different restaurants.
Restaurants
- Seasons 52
We ate dinner at Seasons 52 after our day at the beach. The restaurant is right next to the hotel. The food was delicious. I had beef with mashed potatoes. I think I should order some of that today. There is a Seasons 52 in Atlanta near Lenox Mall and one near Perimeter Mall. My husband had fish. It was pretty good as well.
- Bubba Gump Restaurant (185 Boardwalk)
This restaurant serves seafood. The food was good there. I have had better seafood. This is a popular chain restaurant. I felt like my pina colada that I order was watered down or did not have any alcohol in it. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the water and bridge. I would definitely revisit for the view while I eat.
- Tacobus (Downtown Tampa)
The burrito was so delicious. They have this green sauce to put on the burrito that was very tasty. I enjoyed it. I ate the rest of the burrito the next morning before we hit the road back to Atlanta.
Beaches
- Clearwater Beach
Clearwater beach is beautiful. It does have a lot of people. This is a touristy area. There were a lot of people at this beach. They also have a large store that sales everything next to the beach. I can not remember the name. of the store.
- Beach (1998 Gulf Way)
We went to this beach to watch the sunset. It was beautiful and quiet. I think people that live in this area, come out to see the sunset. The beach was not crowed at all. I enjoyed this. My sister and her husband took us to this beach.
